mom!
to the woman I would love to introduce to all of you
My mom is so special.
She has taught me so many things.
And in many ways is a living, moving example of what the Lord tells us to be.
She shows me patience as she slows down to make time for others.
She teaches me kindness as she recommends a soft word in response to anger.
She shows me peace as I unravel frustrations.
She has been one of my greatest teachers, yet never stepped one foot into a classroom as a teacher.
She is my favourite chef though she has no Michelin stars.
She is my favourite voice, though she never has been a voice actor.
I don’t quite know how all to convey just exactly what she means to me, because it overflows many adjectives.
Her love has wrapped me up in so many ways.
And she has been there time and time again.
Her character isn’t one to retreat to negativity, or to dwell in gossip.
Her beauty is classic. Her lines on her face remind me of all the times she’s smiled. Natural.
Her style is her own, she loves comfort (wonder where I get that from 😊)
Her likes, often match my own: flowers, nature, simple clothes, simple life. A rooster’s greeting. Coffee in the am. Simplicity.
She is and will always be one of my most favourites.
Happy Mother’s Day Mommy.
This post is for you! :)
All my love,
Your daughter.
I THANK GOD FOR HER!
